User can bookmark page in del.icio.us

It is possible to bookmark certain pages of LeMill in del.icio.us social bookmarking system. The following pages should have a link "Add to del.icio.us":

  • Front page of LeMill
  • Material view page
  • Activity view page
  • Tool view page
  • Collection page
  • Story page
  • Group blog front page

The link to del.icio.us is a GET query, where URL and Title are specified: http://del.icio.us/post?url=http://www.lemill.net&title=LeMill

This feature will be probably used by those people who visit LeMill site but do not have a user account or do not log in always. For example I visit Wikipedia daily but log in only when I notice a mistake that I can correct. It is also good for us to be bookmarked in the widely used social bookmarking site.

Open questions:

  • I think we should not have this feature on member profile pages. Maybe some users do not want to be bookmarked in del.icio.us?
  • I think we should not have bookmarking feature with individual blog posts. Blog post usually reffers to some page(s) on the web/LeMill that actually have the valuable content. If you want to "bookmark" a blog post, you comment it in your own blog :)
  • Should we have possiblility to bookmark pieces?

I agree with your thinking on the open questions - no links for members and blog posts. Let's leave pieces out as well, as we can change that later on if it seems necessary.
