Related to stories: #224 and #259. it is possible that you have already design it this way, but to confirm:

Users with a low or just temporary online access should have a change to make local copies of the content found from remote LeMill servers. One should be able to select content, activities, tools and "add these to my local LeMill" which would simply copy them to the user’s local LeMill.

This feature is important when someone wants to use LeMill in a local area network or totally off-line in a single computer. Sometime people do not have a fast Internet connection, but may have a fast local network.

We should also study and consider how the LeMill content could be replicated and shared with p2p networks, such as Bit Torrent (In the South Africa KEWL.NextGen project they are considering this). Any ideas?

  • Type changed from defect to story

Some kind of caching of used objects is already planned, but complete cutoff from the internet is a new thing. But we'll need to plan all of these distributed features with more detail and do some technical piloting on the feasibility of different approaches (proofs of concept) before we proceed.

Having torrents is a nice idea. I think that we could have the possibility to create torrent files from the collections ("Create a torrent" link next to "Create a SCORM package").
