Story should show the images of its resources and its author

Reported by: tarmo Assigned to: hans (accepted)

Description (Last modified by hans)

Story cover image is a mix of author's photo and three resource cover images. Author on top-left, content on top-right, activity on bottom-right and tool on bottom-left. Each smaller image 80x60px.

Whenever showing a story alone, all resource images should be shown 3 per row (and they should be links to those resources). The author image is shown on the left as the cover image.

When editing a story, at the top of the edit page should be shown the cover images of its resources, 3 per row.

"When showing a story in any list, the image of the author should be shown as its cover image. It should also show three resource images (one from each category)."

I don't understand. You mean that cover image is a mix of author's face and three resources? Author on top-left, content on top-right, activity on bottom-right and tool on bottom-left? Each smaller image 80x60px?

"Whenever showing a story alone, all resource images should be shown 3 per row (and they should be links to those resources). The author image is shown on the left as the cover image."

I agree.

"When editing a story, at the top of the edit page should be shown the cover images of its resources, 3 per row."

I don't agree. We must keep the edit pages as empty as possible.

I remember that a long time ago we thought about showing stories so that we show 3-4 images side-by-side (probably 3): first the image of the author, then two images of the related resources. Of course, this can be changed.

And in the edit page I'm just thinking that it would be good to remind the user to mention (or at least remember) in the story all the resources that belong to the collection, so somehow showing the resources might be nice. Maybe if we just show the images and the summary information, but without links?

I agree. When you write a story you need "hints" and "reminders" telling what are the resources of which you are writing your story about. Thse hints - cover images - should be small, but visible somewhere in the "edit form".

You should think this as a "comment" or "reply" in a blog/forum discussions. When you write your replu you really want to see the note in which you are posting your thoughts.

One option is to add the cover images to the end of the page - like in Fle3's knowledge building, the note you are replying to is in the end of the page - where one can then "check" the stuff if she forgets what she is doing.

I agree. If I have understood the first part correctly (??? to Tarmo) we can accept this ticket.

Yes, I guess we're in agreement. Teemu should then accept this ticket, if everything is ok for him.
