(This is based on assumption that teachers are people that are trained to like being well prepared and to dislike trial-and-error approach.)

When choosing a material type to be created (Multimedia, Presentation or PILOT), the page will tell what is required for succesful creation of this type of material and suggests to have these available, either as files in computer or as media pieces in lemill. Some suggestion for making a collection of them beforehand would also be in place here.

For example,

  • PILOTs:
    • Required: pictures and audio files for voice-overs (mp3)
  • Presentations:
    • Required: pictures for slides
    • Optional: audio for voice over (mp3)
  • Multimedia:
    • Required: nothing
    • Optional: pictures, audio, video, flash-animations

I general that is a good idea but I am not sure where to display that information:

Maybe we could display that additional page only on the FIRST TIME when user is creating learning resource on that template?

I suggest we use Ajax here. So the extra information is by default invisible, and there's a link or button like "Read details" which will open the fold.

In general context-sensitive help would be a good thing, and implementing it as openable folds is probably the least annoying way.

Context sensitive help is complicated to translate. I think that it is not realistic to expect good translations for context sensitive help. We must limit the amount of text that must be translated.

How many translations we have for thinking type descriptions in Fle3 progressive inquiry and six hats?
